I agree with @badadvicemom, it’s inappropriate when other men clearly see she’s taken. When I’d see guys comment things like that I shut them down so they would never comment stuff like that again. Out of respect for her boyfriend she should be saying something to them like “thanks but I’m not your sweetie” that’d also make her boyfriend feel alittle better.
I would say back "I'm not your sweetie but thanks." I don't find terms of endearment like that appropriate. But I don't even like when my husband calls me sweetie so
@apniwe2 Understandable. My boyfriend used to be the same way kinda but I stopped that real quick cause of course others are gonna say things to us, and blah blah. He realized it was out of my control and got over it. Especially since it wasn't anything crazy being said.
