Is it possible to have PTSD from giving birth?

@rileys_mommy, go to the doctor girl. Message me as well I’ve been diagnosed ptsd and know the generalized questions yes an no whether or not you have ptsd but I’m not a professional don’t only go off of my opinion.

@rileys_mommy, that’s terrifying, I’m sorry love. I was in labor for 15 hours and almost lost my son multiple times because he was being strangled by his chord, which resulted in an emergency c-section. Birth isn’t always this beautiful and amazing experience. Just like what @kkmamax3, said, go to a doctor and talk to them and let them give their professional opinion

@rileys_mommy, I was in labor for 12 hours, they had to use a vacuum, and I ripped all the way to my butthole.. I suffered from PPD after, it was horrible.

Best bet, is go to the doctor for them to diagnose you..

Very rare and very mild.... something very traumatic would have had to happen

Usually it only happens with emergency c sections or the child almost dying... not normally from just an average birth

You can get Postpartum depression from a very scary birth experience. I did.

It's a depression rather than a stress disorder unless you had a very scary birth where you almost died or something went wrong, then possibly
