Do you have like a ton of crap in your life but don't know even know how to begin to get rid of it?
My friend just posted a couple of days ago saying that she has way too much stuff that she wants to part with, but just can't. Then a whole lot more people commented saying that they have the same issue. Whether it be emotional ties to items or just a feeling that you "may need it later", this is a big problem for many people. Including me at times.
I would label myself as a minimalist, but since I've had my baby (now a toddler), I have accumulated a LOT of items that aren't serving me or bringing me joy and are just in the way. I want to clear some stuff out of my life because I know that
getting rid of the old will help make a lot of room for new and wonderful things to come into my life in 2018.
SO I've decided to turn this into a game and invite all of my friends and family who are "drowning in stuff" to join this game. Feel free to invite anybody that you think will benefit. We're gonna start on January 1 and the challenge will run all month. Here's how it's gonna go:
-Everyone needs to have 3 bins or piles to "donate", "sell", and "trash".
-Day 1: We choose one item to put into a bin.
-Day 2: We choose two items to put into a bin.
-Day 3: We choose three items to put into a bin.
...ALLLL the way until January 31!
Sound overwhelming? Yeah, me too a bit. I'm not sure how I will get rid of 31 things in one day just yet. BUT I am going to just take it one day at a time and roll with it. YOU IN?
