Well done!! McKenzie goes most of the day without one and some days don't have one at all! But he still needs it for bed!! I need to try and stop that soon I think xx
@mckenziesmummy, aww yay go mckenzie! Well same as you, I stopped him having it in the day and only let him have it at nap time/ bed time or if he’d get really upset. Then at night time I’d give it him but he’d tend to babble himself to sleep and then only want it if he woke in the night. Went through a phase of chewing them so thought stuff it, once he’s bitten a hole in this it’s gone, threw all the spares out, bit a hole in it and that was it 😂 first couple of nights were a bit unsettled but after that he doesn’t notice/ remember xx
@jo.wilcox, Aweh!! Well done you!! And I'm scared to take it from kenzie for bed time! He has a bottle for bed and he's gotta hold a dummy in his hand or he kicks right off xx
@mckenziesmummy, aww no that’s gonna be difficult 🙈 I did notice for the first few nights he was waking more in the night so was having more milk than usual to settle him, but now I just stroke his face until he falls back asleep coz he was having way too much extra milk. Best thing ever getting rid of it, I didn’t want him having one to begin with but he had to coz where I was breastfeeding he was using the boob to fall asleep then would wake as soon as I put him down 🙄 xx
@jo.wilcox, Aweh you've done great thou!! I really need to start soon! Maybe before this little one comes along so it's one more thing I don't need to worry about! Ahaha cx
@mckenziesmummy, thanks! Don’t worry about it too much, most people don’t get rid of dummy’s until they’re after 2, I just wanted it gone sooner. Mostly because the longer you leave it the more they’ll remember and be at the age where they can throw tantrums and beg for it until you give in 🙈 x
I need to try soon with Max but keep putting it off lol It wasn't too bad with Morgan but Max is more of a diva 😂 It's only night time that will be the issue!
