Any suggestions on getting kids to stop hitting? I’m the only one my son hits and it’s getting old.

Well he is only doing that for attention. Remove the attention and he wont do it because he isnt getting anything from it lol

@beemommyof3, yeah I stopped reacting like that to him falling. I usually just say get up and shake it off. I’m gonna try that. He’s also in the fit of throwing himself backwards or hitting his head on the floor

If you hit him he will hit back. He doesnt understand that. When he goes to hit, ignore and walk away. Dont acknowledge the behavior. The reason he does it is because you react. Kinda like when they fall and they dont cry, but we scream and jump up to get them and make a huge deal so they scream cry because of our reaction to them falling and not because they are actually hurt for example

@beemommyof3, I tell him no that’s not nice you don’t hit mommy or I say ow that hurt. I use to hit his hand lightly but he only hit more. Then I put him in his high chair or crib as for time out but that doesn’t help cuz he will still do it when I go in there.

How do you react when he does?
