Really hate seeing my son struggle with this acid reflux. He just seems miserable , he’s constantly throwing up . Poor baby; at least he has an emergency appointment with the doctor tomorrow morning . So fingers crossed we can start meds and get him feeling better . He wanted to try him on a formula on top of me breastfeeding. But that didn’t seem to help . I’m scared they may say i can’t breastfeed him anymore . Cause he throws up after formula and my milk. Anyone else dealt with or dealing with this ?

@lizibear84, he ended up having to go to urgent care to be seen . Doctor had to leave so they told me to go there but urgent care didnt know his history and went to start him on meds without knowing. So I have to wait for his doctor to see him. They didn’t feel comfortable giving meds at 7 weeks old
I think am having the same issue too. Am exclusively breastfeeding and I feed on demand. My baby spit up alot. And when she does the milk is cradle. Even after spit up she still wanna nurse

@beemommyof3, yes sometimes. Sometimes he chokes on it. Or sometimes it’s super slow I had to massage it to get it to let down
@beemommyof3, sorry was feeding him. I’ll take him down gradually and see how he does and let his doctor know. But he definitely showed signs of wanting more . He wouldn’t even suckle on my boob or the pacifier he would continue eating . But I’ll try it and see how he does. I just want him better

I would do only 2 ounces. Most likely he isnt still hungry. What they want is to suckle for comfort and he cant do that with a bottle. If you put a nipple on a. gallon of milk he will drink it because he wants to suckle. Not for hunger purposes.
Are you burping every half ounce and does it take 20 to 30 minutes to give the bottle
@beemommyof3, that what his doctor has him on when we do bottles . He was doing 2 ounces but it wasn’t enough for him
He is only a month old. He doesnt need that much milk in a sitting. I think pacefeeding would eliminate the reflux.
@beemommyof3, when he Eats from the bottle he doing 3 to 3 1.5 ounces . & eats every 2-3 hours

@lizibear84, it’s crazy you can smell it as soon as he throws up (the acid)

@lizibear84, yes they put him on soy to see if it would help, it made him worse
Did they rule out a dairy allergy? My friends son they thought had reflux and it turned out to be a dairy allergy cause when he got older he would have explosive diarrhea every night.
My baby was on enfamil gentlease but he was throwing up with it so they switched him to enfamil nutramigen and hes throwing up a ton more with it like alot hes been on it since 9/20 what should i do?
Moms! My baby's bottom is just so torn up and hot:( this rash won't go away fast enough! It hurts him so bad when he screams he throws up multiple times while getting changed! I don't know how to help him quick enough! Help!😭😭
I've been supplementing some with formula because my baby boy just demands more than what I'm putting out and he seems happier with the formula..my breast milk doesn't seem to satisfy him enough and it seems like he's always hungry unless I give him formula..should I switch to formula only? I thought breast milk was supposed to be best but in his case I'm not so sure ugh idk what to do I just want him to be happy
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
