Can a fever be part of a cold starting to come? Poor baby started getting a fever today, been giving him some medicine.. I've had a cold myself for a week but I didn't get a fever when I first caught it, maybe it's just how his body's reacting?

@chasha2017, his temp which I took this morning at 11:07 am was 98.8 thank god, he was really warm last night . Like in the 100s. I gave him his 4th dose of Tylenol at 8:23 am this morning . And so far it's been working and his temp hasn't gotten supper high . He's def got a cold. 😭 I've been giving him some Hyland Baby all natural cold and mucus stuff hoping that works.

@beckysmommy22, I've been def looking out for that, he had an ear infection when he was about 3-4 months . That wasn't fun at all.

Pay close attention to his temp. Could be an ear infection. My daughters was really high with a cold and took her straight to children’s ER and sure enough, ear infection.

What is his temperature? And does it go down then come back up after you give the tylenol?

@badadvicemom, that's interesting , yeah just 2 days ago he was perfectly fine and outta no where today he was starting to get really warm . And we where in target at the time and I knew he needed to go down for a nap , so once we got home he did (cuz I thought he was just warm from being in a big coat and he was fussy.) well we was still warm, gave him some infants Tylenol, it went down, and then I just gave him some more at 8:30 p. 😒 I keep getting too worried and over think his fever temp too much.

@ecahanes, Thankyou! And I hope so too, he's been pretty good for not getting sick too often. It just worries me too much

Yup. Fever is the body's reaction to fighting off an infection and most I factions incubate for a few days. My daughter had her blood work done and a doctor's appointment where she got a clean bill of health. A few days later she was really sick, so I took her back to get checked up on and the doctor looked at the blood work and asked if she was sick the last visit. I told him no. He goes "he r body was already making the white blood cells to fight this off"
