My friend just had her anatomy scan and her baby might have Down syndrome 😭 she’s so worried

@kaela3, I have a son with Down syndrome and would not change a thing about him. He is healthy as can be and brings so much joy to my life. So DS does not define a child as they are capable of doing anything as a nether child can do only difference is they might do it a little slower, which we all have our own pace of doing things. Also, there was a mother here who was told that her unborn child had DS before he was born, and turned out,after given birth, he didn’t. I can look her up for you if you want to communicate with her.

My baby was tested positive for spina bifida so I had an early anatomy scan and his back looked great and he even showed off a great kick on screen during the scan. Just have faith. Downs or not

My boyfriend was supposed to have down syndrome according to his pregnancy but hes alright. Some of the best kids I know are downs. I understand why shed be scared though. Is there evidence of it in her or the baby daddy's family?

@rebeccanieves10, i told her that it’s kind of too late to get rid of her baby and i don’t think she will get rid of her. She’s just worried as all. She’ll know more once she goes to the specialist

@kaela3, I was about 18-20weeks around that time frame was 5yrs ago and I get pregnancy brain sometimes, I was quiet upset about because they was really pushing me and I’m like at this point my child is mainly developed... Tell her my advice would be to follow her instincts she’s mom and believe it or not she’ll know what’s best. Doctors and tests are proven wrong everyday.

I had one done with my son, they said the same an actually wanted us to terminate our pregnancy we choose not to thank god they were almost pushy about it which we did not like regardless of anything is was out child !!! Today my son is 5yrs old and happy healthy and wonderfully waiting for his little sisters arrival

I got the ultrasound done and she is perfect...

But defer the blood work due to it wouldn't change anything...

@taylorchiveral, she’s 20 weeks so i don’t think she can abort it where we live. And i don’t think she will. They are just saying that her head is really small and that she has to go for more tests

I didn't get the anatomy scan cause they said it could come back and the baby could be just fine.

They say that a lot, my brother was supposed to be “retarded” but he came out fine and my niece was supposed to have Down syndrome as well and she is perfectly fine. A lot of times they will say they have something to get you to abort it so they can do tests and what not on it. They really pushed for my mom to abort my brother and when she said no they got very mad. And even if it does have Down syndrome it will still be a beautiful baby❤️
