Calling the cooks out here!... i have a bine in pork roast that i want to cook for christmas day instead of ham... we want a pineapple brown sugar glaze. Does a pork roast cook different than a ham? How would it be best to cook it?

I miss deli sandwiches! I told hubby after delivery.. I want a HUGE roast beef and swiss.. and sushi!
I was thinking about just making a ham instead of a turkey its my first year cooking thanksgiving dinner and I have to do it alone. Plus I've never made a turkey before.
