So I’m 20 days pp and I’m still bleeding bright red blood. I realized it wasn’t coming from my vag, but from where I tore. I used a mirror to look down there and could literally see it split open, as if it wasn’t shut all the way. I called my OB and asked her about it, if it was normal or if I should come in. She said to me “So you think a stitch came out?” And I did yeah I guess and she replies “We used a lot of sutures so I don’t think so. It’s normal, just take it easy.” I said ok and the next day just sat around the house all day, no blood! BUT this morning I woke up with so much vaginal pain that I couldn’t even walk properly. It was right back to the bright red blood and now it burns when I pee. They gave me a prescription for Percocet after I was released from the birthing center, I never took a single one because I never felt the pain was bad enough. But today I had to take 2. Right now I’m soaking in the tub to try and help with the pain but besides that I’m not sure what I should do.

I don’t know if it’s normal or not but if you think it’s not normal then just call again and tell her if she can take a look. What if something is going on down there. It’s better for them to see. Have you tried looking it up to see if it’s normal. When is your next doctors appointment? They have to see if everything is ok.

@myblueroselove, Yeah I’ve tried to google it but I haven’t found any clear answers. My next appointment is January 12th 🙁

@dobbbbi478, I hope it gets better and that it’s nothing bad. Good luck and I’m very sorry. You already have to take care of a baby to now have this kinds of problems ☹️ it sucks how everything happens to us.

If you don't think it's normal and your hurting bad, I'd go to the er. I don't know anything about a vaginal birth, but going to the hospital is what I would do if it got worse.

@mrshammond17, I just think I popped a stitch and now I’m getting an infection. I’ll definitely go in tomorrow if it still feels this way in the morning

Infection is nothing to play with! I had surgery last year and got an infection and I got hospitalized.

@dobbbbi478, I’m sorry ☹️ I just vomited. I’m sick and all this coughing made me throw up my food 😑. Is it because of the pain that you have that is making wan to throw up?

I tote and got stitches my first pregnancy. I experienced nothing of what you are explaining. I would go get it checked asap. I didn't feel any stitch pain and they disappeared on week 2

I’d go to the ER. What if you did tear or lose a stitch? I was always told only sitz baths after delivery.

@brownsugarluv, @myblueroselove, @mumstasin, Well I called the OB’s office again but to make an appointment, not to ask if I should come in. Her nurse called me back and told me that all of this is normal and was talking to me like I’m an idiot. She’s like “you won’t feel normal for a while” I’m like no you don’t understand, that’s not what I’m saying. But either way she didn’t schedule me an appointment so I’m back at square one.

@myblueroselove, Exactly.. I swear to god if something is wrong and they tell me I was right at my 6 week appointment, I’m ganna flip. I don’t want to not heal properly!!

@dobbbbi478, you need to call again and say you suspect an infection and NEED to get seen as soon as possible. Once they hear infection they'll take you in.

Be rude if you have to. I am. I don't play when it comes to my kids health and mine. I be calling on stop. This pregnancy I ended up getting my doctor personal number. I get something called cholestasis during pregnancy, so once I felt the systems and none of the nurses believed me I somehow managed to get her number. I called her up and she put the lab work in. A day later I took the exam it came out positive and I was induced

With my son he got something called rotavirus and the first doctor I took him too said it was a "stomach bug" and that it would pass. My son was so weak from throwing up and the diarrhea he could barely lift his head a day after. I rushed him to another doctor and he got fluids for hours. I don't play. It was at the same kaiser too

Definitely need to tell them you have symptoms of an infection like @mumstasin, said.
You have to be your own advocate if nobody else will.. Best to learn the game because they play it so well.
