I don't know how I survived today.

So I decided to cook early morning, Zaid cry moaned at me the entire time. Entire time.

He then accidentally broke my glass jar that holds my spoons, had to emergency get him out the way and hoover.

He then wouldn't allow me to turn the hoover off and pretended to hoover while I cooked.

I had 2 curries done by 10am, was so proud of myself.... Then I burnt the third one, like seriously, house stinking, 2 pans to clean, horrible burnt.

Then after 2 hours I get my newborn to take a nap and just as he falls asleep the health visitor knocks. He was stripped naked for weight etc. And so wide awake. I think he falls asleep so I go to have lunch, just start eating and Zaid wakes. I get Zaid back down. And see baby is wide awake. So I finally get baby to sleep, and Zaid wakes. That's fine. I know baby will sleep for a while so I'll just feed Zaid lunch and then have lunch.

After lunch I'm playing with Zaid, I start smelling frying/cooking and I think oooh the neighbours are cooking something nice. HALF AN HOUR LATER I think, wait the smell is getting so strong, that's not normal. And suddenly I have a flashback of when I went to get myself lunch, Zaid walking in behind me, standing near the oven for maybe 5 seconds and then asking to be picked up. I literally run into the kitchen.

Not only did he turn the oven on. He turned it on to GRILL and whacked the MFing thing up to 300 degrees.

Child nearly killed us. I open the oven door and now the entire house needs to be aired out AGAIN from the smell and smokiness.

By this point I'm fucking shattered and it's only 3pm.

Luckily my friend came to visit with her little girl at 4, baby took a long nap while they were here and Zaid was busy with the playdate. Only reason I didn't break down.
