I was due Dec 1, but only had mild contractions.. I didnt even know they were contractions until I went to the dr on my due date.. he scheduled me for an induction but said since I was already at 3cm& having contractions he was pretty sure baby would be there by the weekend. I went home bummed .. 🙁 the next day the contractions moved to my back and i was up early morning unable to sleep cause they intensified when i laid down but i was sooo sleepy.. my bf asked if i wanted him to go to work or not .. i said go ahead and go.. by late morning I started feeling better & my contractions were back to their unnoticeable state. my grandmother in law ( is that a thing? 🤷🏾‍♀️), was getting REALLY impatient lol.. asking me ..no pains ? Are you having contractions? .. when I told her I was she came over real quick to time them. According to her they were a min apart and I needed to go to the hospital .. better safe than sorry... idk about anyone else but in my case grandmas are never wrong . My bf was trying to finish errands and then go but I wanted to get the hospital over with.. I wasnt in dire pain so I was pretty sure they were gonna send me home but I knew they would monitor me for at least an hr . My bf was pissing me off so when he asked if I wanted to eat before hand I said no 🙁. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. We get to the hospital and im thinking they gonna take me to triage .. NO they took me to a whole l&d room ..I started freaking out a little.. they checked me .. I was @ 4 and they said they dont admit until 5cm. My bp was high and they took some blood work to check my liver and everything. They said if I dilate to a 5 or my blood pressure doesnt they were going to admit me. I immediately had an internal battle.. hoping I didnt dilate so I could leave and stuff my face , & hoping I DID dilate so I could meet my baby 👶🏾 . They come back and tell me that I havent dilated more and that they are going to go ahead and induce me due to bp and that there are only 3 deliveries on the floor atm. When I tell you I was shook I WAS SHOOK lol. I couldnt believe it. This was really happening. ‼️😯. My bf and gma left to get some food and I laid there waiting for them to hook me to an iv and everybody was gone forever it seemed. Suddenly my contractions INTENSIFIED. Like wtf was this ... I had ppl calling cause I had notified them that I was getting induced and everytime a big contraction would hit I would be like .. “give me a quick second,” I would put the phone on mute and scream into a pillow lol. I beeped the hell out of the nurse button and nobody came !! I had to call the actual hospital to get a nurse to come in. I was mad cause I was hurting!! I said I need something cause im in pain let me take a shower get up and walk SOMETHING. They wouldnt let me cause I was on bp watch 😤😤🤯 . Ughhh . and I was still at a 4! Omg. Crazy thing was I was in this much pain and STILL scared to get an epi.. someway somehow the nurse talked me into it and my bf came back just in time!!! I tell you that was BLISS. I felt nothing after 15min. Literally after inserted the catheter she tells me im officially in labor @5cm this was @ 11pm.. I had been in the hospital since 6pm and eaten since lunchtime 😩. Bc I went into labor on my own they didnt need to induce me! Thank God! My bp was still in the 150s 😬😬🤭. So I was still confined to bed ... @4am I was @ a 10!!! 6am The dr had to come and break my water & I began pushing . My precious baby boy was born @ 7:51a on dec 3rd . 8lbs 4oz 😢😢😍😍😆🎊
