Please please please remember that the safety of your child goes down when you buckle them in while they are wearing a puffy winter jacket.
Remove it before hooking them in. It’s not about being warm, it’s about the safety of your child!

@wild.child101, when it comes to child safety it’s not being mean. Layers is key in a cold car. A light jacket with a long sleeve underneath and a hat and maybe some gloves, buckle him in and put a blanket over top of him. Your child will still be safe. Simple fix.

ALSO OUR DR SAID HES FINE! I'm doing a great job raising him so but off.. he said to keep him in his coat until we fix the heater in the car..
This is also true for any added accessories that aren’t original to car seats. That includes those super cute custom cover people like to get. I had a really great little tutorial from the technicians at graco when they checked my sons car seat and they said do not add anything because it significantly drops the effectiveness of safety harnesses.
I wanted to let her know the dangers but her comments were disabled. I was concerned.
