This is also true for any added accessories that aren’t original to car seats. That includes those super cute custom cover people like to get. I had a really great little tutorial from the technicians at graco when they checked my sons car seat and they said do not add anything because it significantly drops the effectiveness of safety harnesses.

@lifewithlynniejade88, mind your own business. STOP TELLING ME HOW TO RAISE MY SON..!! Our car is in crap condition..!!!! U don't know me plus ain't got no heat in there either.. ALSO OUR DR SAID HES FINE! I'm doing a great job raising him so but off.. he said to keep him in his coat until we fix the heater in the car..

@wild.child101, when it comes to child safety it’s not being mean. Layers is key in a cold car. A light jacket with a long sleeve underneath and a hat and maybe some gloves, buckle him in and put a blanket over top of him. Your child will still be safe. Simple fix.
