I think my baby has black poop and I’m freaking out. I called the pediatrician and I am waiting for her to call me back. Any suggestions? Pic in comments

My daughters poop looks like that after she eats blueberries sometimes.

Has the child recently:
-started or changes vitamin supplements
-eaten a lot of beets or licorice
-eaten any dark red food
-eaten a lot of food with food dye
-taken any medication but in particular bismuth (which isn't usually used for kids as far as I know)
Its possible it is blood, but its not terribly likely. There is probably an innocent cause. However if she can't pinpoint the cause its certainly worth going to the doctor in the next day or two. Sooner if there is pain, fever, weakness, sleepiness, pallor..

@allyk.xmommy, all she had today was Banana and egg pancakes and blueberries for breakfast, turkey and cheese for lunch and a banana.
