is it okay if I don’t wake up my baby every 2 or 3 hours to eat . Can I just wait until cry’s and want to eat? She is one month old
@kimberlymack70, they just told me to Atleast try but unless she’s like seriously underweight or something don’t stress- but do make an effort to feed her regularly
@kedrababy, I would wake her up and try to get to latch on but she be so tired and will use me as a pacifier until she goes back to sleep and then let go . but will cry later when she hungry
Usually they want u to wake newborns so they can gain weight but some babies r stubborn (like mine) I would try my hardest to wake her and she wouldn’t budge - but it was ok because her weight was fine
I feel the only people who say the 3 hour rule are the nurses at hospital I always fed my daughter on demand. She is a healthy little one.
@badadvicemom, she will sleep exactly 3 hours before a she decide she wants to eat sometimes longer . Like 4. She was 5 lbs when she was born and she now almost 8 lbs
I would talk to ur daughters dr and make sure it would be safe. Especially if she lost too much weight at birth.
My son was a preemie and weighed 5 lbs and I had to wake him up to eat so he would gain weight. But now that he's gained so much weight and caught up I'll let him sleep and let him let me know when he's hungry and he's doing great. As long as she's healthy and at a reasonable weight you can let her sleep. 😊
