Saw on fb yesterday a Mom reporting how she believed she and her two children were targeted by two human traffickers in toys r us. It hits close to home when it's your local store. I was telling my husband this is why I do errands when he's home or he goes with us. You literally can't trust anyone anymore. Less of a target with a 6'3" big tall not to mention part Mexican man! This Mom did the right thing of telling the store. However, the store nor parent reported it to police. Police got involved after notified from social media.
If anyone suspects such a thing like this; notify the authorities. Just because you and your kids made it out of the situation okay; doesn't mean the next will. We all have children and would do anything for our own child; why not others!
After I told him this, he goes in the dresser draw and hands me mace and says "and I've been telling you to carry this for how long" and told me to put it in my purse.

Before I got pregnant to the point until I started showing in my pregnancy I had several men try to intimidate me into getting in their car. They would follow me down the street and tell me repeatedly to get in with them and it was so scary. I reported it every time, only once I was able to write down his license plate and they found the guy. Idk if anything happened to him, but I'm still glad they talked to him.

@damiensmommy1117, it's a scary world we live in. Where we live my road is a dead end and safe. But go beyond that, I can tell you which houses are drug dealers, that a road not far is known as "hooker alley" at night, and we have two parks in very close walking distance. We moved about a year ago. Like I said, my street is safe. But I have not walked to the park with my daughter alone. I can't manage pushing the stroller and walking the dog (German shepherd). But my husband is always home by mid afternoon, so we'd go together when he gets home and nice out!
Drives me nuts that all summer our neighbor just lets her kids go out unsupervised. I could never do that no matter where we live!

I guess u just have to b safe like if u don't need to go out don't go. I have 3 kids and I know i might have to b getting one and other runs away in the store so j just rather leave one kid with my husband and take two but even then I always keep my eyes peeled cause ppl look so suspect..gotta b safe. I always put scenarios in my mind like if the person's gonna attack me Imma b ready but I always feel safer with my husband. I felt the most vurnable when I was pregnant cause I felt like I wouldn't b able to do anything like fight back if anyone did something.its good that ur husband gave u that mace. In the end we gotta trust God to look after us and b smart where we go.😊such a scary world out there

@blujul8, he's more worried about my job and the neighborhoods I go in. A few years ago, I was leaving a very rough neighborhood in the city and two guys came up to my car as I'm driving. One tried to walk in front to slow me down; the other attempted to grab my door handle. I made the quick decision to keep driving even if I hit someone. I didn't. Then drove to the police station and reported it.
He got me mace then. I went back to this field after getting my masters. So he gets worried. Always asking what cities I go to and if it's bad or not, what time I'll be leaving. It's a daily conversation when I work. He's a concerned hubby.
