Moms!!!!!!! High alert!!!!!!
If you don’t know I have 4boys. I had a party for my kids last Friday. Music, games, junk food, and so many friends. At 9pm my oldest (7years old) went to bed because he wasn’t feeling well. The next day he woke up seeming his normal self. Fast forward to Monday, I get a phone call from my kids’ school informing me of a rash. I instantly assumed it was an allergic reaction to the seasonal change which actually has happened before. I gave him Claritin which is his prescription allergy medicine and I also gave him Benadryl for the itching to stop. Since he has eczema I assumed the rash was a flareup caused by the allergic reaction. On Tuesday again I get a call from school telling me that he has broken out in this rash again. At this point I’m way more concerned because his eczema has never flared up that badly. I made an appointment for rapid access to see him so they could give me something for his skin. He was seen by two doctors, the first doctor asked me about my son’s history with eczema and was prepared to send us home with some lotion for my son’s skin. But then the second doctor took a good look at my son, inspected his mouth, neck, and skin very carefully and said the scariest words I have ever heard ; “this is not eczema this is scarlet fever”. My heart instantly dropped and I didn’t know what to do or say. He is on antibiotics now and he is feeling better, the rash is starting to disappear, and he’s doing a lot better. I learned a lot of things about Scarlett fever, including that strep throat can actually cause it. So please moms, be vigilant, if your child has a fever, a rash, white tongue, pain in the neck, trouble swallowing, these are all symptoms for strep throat, but they’re also symptoms for scarlet fever. It’s going around, it’s super easy to catch, it’s super easy to pass it around to other people! Please be alert!!
I hope your little dude is feeling better and heals quick.
@scarapella1, my thoughts exactly. I even thought that anything like Scarlet fever was included in the immunization process. I felt like my world was caving. So now I’m researching everything, and paying close attention to the news.
Omg!!! I didn’t even think scarlet fever was even prevalent any more! That’s so scary. I am glad he is doing better!!! Thank you for sharing this!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

So yesterday I gave my son Advil for his fever and for some reason he broken out in rash. They kept telling me it his eczema, eczema don’t have blisters or red bumps. I was wondering can you have allergic reactions to Advil? Like it’s all down his legs, added to his diaper rash, his hands & arms & fingers. He been scratching them open

Is this chicken pox?
He has eczema on his shoulders, but the rash on his back is different, appeared last night and he now has some on his neck and chest too.
Help!

My baby boy has me so worried he has such delicate skin. Calling the doctor tomorrow to take him in & get checked out. No matter what lotion I use on his skin he gets like this. Breaks my heart
I swear y’all kill me when people ask questions about THEIR child. If my child is 4m or 5m & I put a little cereal in the bottle it’s nothing wrong with it at all. NOTHING , especially if his doctor already gave me the go ahead. My god, each one teach their own though.
it’s 10 am where I am rn , do not come on my post with , articles about whatever. I’ll tell you kiss my ass today.
@brownsugarluv, thank you
