Does your doctor tell you that you have to be induced or is it optional?

@mommyofc, most doctors don't want you to go past 42 because the baby could poop and it may cause infection in the baby but some doctors like to let the baby come naturally

@jadasweet0218 oh okay I was curious. Does it matter if you go over your due date alot? Like you go past 42 weeks for example?
@mommyofc, I wasn't dilated at all and they induced me at 39 weeks. Yeah and sometimes they do it if they pass the 40 week mark, maybe you should ask your doctor about it :)

They usually tell you when you need/have to be induced. I read on here that some women even ask to be induced
