@swann.khadijah, personally we never co slept. She was in a bassinet then pack n play in our room the first 6 months or so. She had a tough time when we moved. Before that she was in her crib but then her room was on the other side of the house.
@swann.khadijah, she's always been a good night sleeper once asleep. She won't get upset til we put her in her crib and she settles quickly now. Only 2-3 first nights were tough in getting her down
@swann.khadijah, I wouldn't start this with a baby so young. We started at 11 months, our evening routine is 5pm dinner, then play, 6pm bath (we use the Johnson bedtime bath and lotion). With our daughter, we found after she was 6 months old she did better with nightly baths.
Pajamas, then read a few books. My husband makes her bottle and says good night ( I work two evenings a week and he's on his own, but she goes down for both of us).
After bottle, I rock her a bit. She won't fall asleep on me so when she's getting tired; I put her in her crib. She can stand in there so she'll get up and cry for a few minutes. We say good night before she goes in crib and I leave her door ajar (between 6:45-7). Then she falls asleep in usually 15 minutes. Occasionally she cries longer. If she does, we know she pooped and change her and put her back down 😂
The new baby is going to be in our room probably the first 6 months. My daughter sleeps 12 hours at night and we don't want to disturb this. Unfortunately, our apartment is only 2 bedrooms. But we'll make it work.
@gracelynnsmama, so after she’s fed and dressed for bed you lay her down and when she cries you don’t touch her? Like when do you know when to pick her up my son turns red it scares me a little lololol
@swann.khadijah, I'll admit we relied on her swing to get her to bed far too long! Until 11months old. The first few nights in her crib to fall asleep were rough. Now she goes down, she cries a few minutes then is asleep within 15 minutes of putting her down. Naps are a little more challenging because I work a few days a week and my mom lets her nap on her. I don't want to get in that habit when I'm having a baby in a month
I plan on sleep training the baby earlier but that's because the girls are going to share a room.
@swann.khadijah, I used to let my daughter nap in her swing. It was the only way until we sleep trained her to fall asleep in her crib

Honestly, thankfully I lived with my inlaws. They really helped me out. When I was tired they took him, when I needed to clean they took him, etc, whatever I needed they helped
@caseysmommy92, he does doesn’t sit in them for long. Lol I just tried and started crying lol I think I spoiled him with holding him all the time. Idk lolol

@swann.khadijah it gets easier hun. Does baby have a bouncer or swing? Let him play in that while u clean
@gracelynnsmama, man it seems like he’s always hungry where I can’t leave him for two seconds lol but his big nap is in the morning from like 10-2 and if I move or put him in his bed he doesn’t sleep at all so I’m stuck lol but that does sound like a challenge I can’t even do anything with one kid I can’t imagine two.

In between feedings, while napping, baby wear while im nursing. Also for the first 2 months I didnt do any housework at all.
In between feedings and during naps. I found it much easier trying to get things down around the house at that age before my daughter was mobile. Now, it's a challenge and it's nap time pretty much! I'm wondering how the challenge will be with her at 14 months old and a newborn!
