What are good things to help you lactate?! I am not getting anything anymore and it’s making me frustrated

@ttowler1993 yea but you're doctor also said to pump which causes a lot of problems and makes your nipples hurt more.

@jskidsmom, I asked the lactation consultant in the hospital for some and she said she didn’t recommend them

Have you tried a nipple shield. I heard it helps wonders.

And for this one she has a shallow latch and it felt like my nipple would fall off.

@ttowler1993 it will get better i bled so much during my first daughter that when i pumped the milk looked like real dark strawberry.

Idk why her doctor would say to pump. They are so uneducated about breastfeeding. Smh pumping this early can cause mastitis, clogged ducts and oversupply. You have to see a lacation consultant or try using a nipple shield.

You need to visit a lactation consultant. Its not too late and they can get you latching right and help you with your nursing issues.

@damiensmommy1117, I wanted too but she keeps tearing my nipple. The dr had to help her latch right and it keeps tearing for some reason so she told me just continue to pump.

Are you also breastfeeding? I can barely pump 2oz, but when I breastfeed my son gets overly full sometimes and will spit extra milk back up.

Yes I am pumping but I’m not even getting an ounce. I was getting full bags and now I’m getting literally a couple drops and thats it.

Well if baby is only 2 weeks old then she won't eat more than 1 oz . A pump is no indication of milk supply either.. so you can't base it on that. Are you going back to work soon?
