If it is less than 18mo since your last delivery, it's really rare for them to let you since your uterus has not fully healed. If it is more than 3 or 5 years, and you are not high risk, make sure to push and insist on VBAC since there is no medical reason you shouldn't. If they say no, ask why exactly so you can understand. Don't feel intimidated, your body and your baby. Know the difference between a doctor being smart and cautious of your health, vs a lazy doc that just wants to pencil you in.

@tavi.young, they told me to wait 1 year and it has been, but this doctor thinks the lady that did the c section cut up too high.

Uh oh! :( I've never heard of that being an issue but it might be that the incision into the uterus was not in an optimal place so they have to cut in another place which means LOTS of scar tissue which is no good. Definitely see what new doc says. Do they specialize in VBAC or complicated C-section? Keep us posted

@tavi.young, the new doctors receptionist said that he has done many Vbacs before. I have a feeling the guy I saw where I was at is just trying to take the safe easy way out.

That's very possible so listen look for cue words and know it's not going to be easy but in the long run better if its possible.(:
