My obgyn told me to never use one cause I told her I'd like to get one to ease my mind! She told me doing it frequently is bad for the baby and really irritates them! Did you ask your doctor...Im just curious what other doctors say about them 🤔
@xomarylee it's the frequency Lol, it hurts them. It's the way the waves enter and bounce off. I don't know after my doctor explained it to me I just couldn't do it to my kid
@rmreed, lml well a home Doppler’s frequency is much more less the one at the hospital. Plus their is no knows evidence that tells us this frequency has affected any baby ever. Your doctor might just feel the need to believe that but all doctors are different and when my friend and family have asked their docs. They say it’s perfectly safe.
@rmreed, the frequency from the hospital is more intense and there the waves are more effective to recover and get much for evidence on how healthy your baby is.. a home Doppler sure doesn’t catch all those waves.. the frequency is much more distorted. Much less “annoying”
I love dopplers! Always make you feel reassured if you haven't felt baby move much! And I asked my doctor and it's safe lol. They use their Doppler at every visit, so if it were unsafe I'm sure they wouldn't use it at every visit And wouldn't tell patients it's okay to use either... You could always ask you doctor if you're concerned, but I wouldn't be concerned. They make them for a reason! Congrats on your new gift 😊

@rmreed, no I didn’t, I’ve had so many friends and family members do it. I’m sure my baby doesn’t mind. She listening to way more annoying sounds.
