Need some opinions working moms and stay at home moms (you are up just as many hours if not more) I work a lot of 12 h shifts (peds nurse)but lately including driving it’s been about 16h. Im having BH like crazy and when I sit down to let them calm down they do but since I’m a first time mom I was actually planning on working up until my son was born but now I’m re thinking it. When did some of you finally give in and tell your boss it’s time to cut back hours or take your maternity leave? I’m just starting to really feel it especially at night. Showers aren’t even relaxing anymore. 😒
I was in school with first but with second I worked until 3 am of the morning I had him
@tialynn, ok thank you. That helps a lot. I’m actually 33 weeks and my boss is pretty good so that’ll kind of be my two week advance even though she knew it was coming. I just thought I would be good a lot longer than this...
@chelli, yes! I’m actually obsessed with water with lots of lemon during my pregnancy. That’s my weird craving ha. So I know it’s not a dehydration issue. That’s why I’m starting to think I need to lay off of work a bit.
@mommieof2girls, yea I think I’m going to tell her I need to at least cut back for now. My back is just killing me by the end of the day.
Maybe it’s time to cut back , your in your last weeks of pregnancy. Don’t over do it.

Preggies,
We're working on a blog post about what it means to be a mom, and we want your opinion. What would you add to this statement?

You know you have children when...
You get to work and notice that your pants have smudges of unidentifiable origin from the knee down. ?

Sometimes you know your body better than everyone else. Not every woman will produce high levels of hcg throughout pregnancy some it can take weeks some it can take months don’t trust a blood test don’t trust a urine test trust your heart and when you know it’s times it’s time this doctor was not a gynecologist so he did not give me a quantitative blood test to actually see what my hcg level is at I hope this helps some of you ladies who just feel like giving up and stop testing because of what ...
I got some weird messages from a mom on this app. Now I’m scared it’s a fake profile? 👀👀👀
Who wants to see them and lmk!
I wonder if she’s messaging anyone else too.
Do any of you moms have to work up the courage to leave your home? 😥 Whether it’s for errands, appointments, whatever. I’m wondering if the anxious feeling is more for stay at home moms. Not sure. And I’m talking about even Pre pandemic.
I cut back my 12 hour shifts I'm pretty sure around 20/25 weeks. Then from that point I was able to work up to delivery. Listen to your body. You're only pregnant for a short amount of time so make sure you take time to enjoy it. I wasn't able to afford taking extra time off before my baby was here, but if you can you totally should!
