The doctor prescribed me ranitidine for my daughter for the acid reflux, but I read the side effects of headache and diarrhea amongst other things, and I'm scared to death to give it to her!

My son has a prescription for that and has never had any issues. It works so so well. I'd definitely give it a shot! Once my son started taking it he was a totally different baby

@jsco, i gave it to her an hour ago and she just finished nursing. It was getting so bad she would wake up from sleep screaming! Did you see the benefits immediate or did it take a while?

Within a couple days! But the medicine will start to help immediately. My son's was so bad too, he wasn't gaining weight because the only time he would eat is to settle the reflux. He'd nurse almost every hour for about 5 mins. Once I started that it was so much better! He's 10 months now and has almost totally grown out of it!

@jsco, we've been struggling the past 2 days! She's been screaming after feedings and waking up after she falls asleep on the breast :( I hope it works for her. She's still grunting but not as much
