What do my c-section moms use to keep your incision dry and protected ?
@blujul8, yeah it’s starting to stay dry since I’ve been using dial soap and gauze. It’s looking better.
@jazmanboyd2 same thing happened to me this year I was constantly sweating cause it was 3rd child so I think the skin overlapping cause that sweat and it's so annoying but I would put long pieces of gauze with tape to keep in place and it worked and then I would lay down flat on the bed and let it air dry I was getting to the point that I thought it would never heal but it does. I hope u don't stress out to much u'll b ok hope u heal well blessings.😊
I didn't have a c-section. But you should never use peroxide on open wounds! It kills the good stuff that's helping you heal
@jazmanboyd2, don’t be afraid. You don’t want it to get infected and maybe the doctor can give you something that will dry it better.
@bayou_donna, no I’m scared to call her. It don’t look infected or anything but I feel like it’s not healing like it should. I know I’m not getting enough protein either which is good for healing. I just bought some vitamins today.
Lol yes the sweat is real but not definitely put a pad their something to soak the moisture even a panty liner mama
@jazmanboyd2, did you mention to your doctor that your cut is not drying or is open? My cut didn’t open but maybe a very little in one area that sealed back a few days afterwards.
@skysmommy04, yeah that worked for me but 5 to 10 minutes later I’m sweating again lol. I just want to cry sometimes.
Yea I literally showered and put a blow dryer on that bad boy with the cool setting or I laid in front of a fan
@bayou_donna, I lost 20lbs right after giving birth. 2 weeks later and I’ve probably lost even more now, but this extra fat is not going away.
@skysmommy04, I have like 4 little openings so I’m scared that would really burn for me. I use peroxide tho. I just can’t keep it dry tho afterwards. i found these cotton rounds so I’m going to see how these work for me.
@jazmanboyd2, lol yes although I’m losing my baby weight well. I drink lots of water.
It stung a tiny bit nothing harsh but also mine was healing great before I left the hospital and alcohol dries it out
@eaj8290, I have really stretchy underwear. I just have a problem with sweating right on my incision.
I wore a pad on it but also when I showered I cleaned it with alcohol and dried it
@pettybetty, I did that with my twins but my incision is different this time. I had strips of tape my first c section but none this time. I have extra skin that falls over my incision so I’m always sweating there so it’s always wet. It’s so annoying.
@eaj8290, I didn’t know they made diapers. Are they like the underwear in the hospital ?
I don’t recall using anything but keep it clean with soap and water and wearing those stretchy underwear from the hospital (they were comfortable)
@jazmanboyd2 awesome🙌
