Just make sure no one is contagious before you go. We did large family events at 2 months old.

@db413, I'm afraid people will lie, is my only problem 😭 I was thinking I might just hold her to myself the whole time and not let people hold her.

@princessrose, I know it’s scary but we also can’t avoid sickness forever. We can do so much to prevent it but something will get through somehow. Just simply tell them if they sound stuffy or horse they can’t hold her

We took him to his cousins 3rd birthday party at two weeks. We just kept him away from the kids, and most adults, and washed hands frequently. No one was allowed to kiss him on anything but the top of his head or his feet. He slept most of the time anyway, in an out of the way corner

Christmas last year was my daughter's first time. Being a preemie; hand sanitizer and being at my parents house; they were not afraid to ask family if they were sick and if they were not to come. She was fine.

We still use hand sanitizer. My daughter will be 13 months on Monday.

@princessrose, it is. Being a mom of a preemie, we had to protect her but once flu season ended; we had to let go and go out. In one year, only one minor cold. We are expecting our second in 7 weeks. This one is already weighing estimated more than when we brought my daughter home from the hospital.

@jingle_belles, I just think it would be different if it was my family, but with it being My husband's I would rather not take her around then to micromanage people holding her and stuff. 😅 cause I know some of the older people don't support the baby's head right

@jingle_belles, the worst part is my husband has a step grandma who is rude and no one likes and I'm afraid I'm going to have to call her out on her stuff because she thinks she's entitled to holding the baby. No one is entitled to holding someone else's kid. lol. And I just really don't wanna do all that. Lol.

@jingle_belles, I want to go, but I'm just so overprotective and Its almost like fear of the unknown. Im so use to me own little bubble that I don't really want to leave it anymore. 😅 I feel like since having her I've become a totally different person. So cautious now.
