I need to vent... So i been living in this for about 5 months now i fell down the steps 4 times nd i told my husband brothers to stop leaving shit on the step... There dad treat them like babies (ages 8 9 12) nd tells me i need to watch were im walking... Am i wrong tp stop doing shit in the house nd i mean stop everything no cooking no cleaning no helping with homework or making sure that they get in at a good time... I feel like if they cant keep the steps clean for me nd make sure there stuff is up why should i do anything for them..

@mommy2be2018 I know and it shouldn't be like that they are old enough to learn responsibility I hope it all works out for u and I think that falling might just put u in labor worse case due to the stress of it

Maybe take a few days or a week and see if anything changes I hope it does just like it took 3 days for my kids to get pie cause they didn't want to get their chores done before bed time

Yay don't do stuff for them my children know better cause I taught them to clean up after them selves and they appreciate everything I do for them but they are my kids and in my home I don't care who's kid u are u will respect my rules but seems how it's not ur home no don't do for them if they can't do for u it's not that hard to not put something down where it doesn't belong and u shouldn't have to worry about falling down steps when ur pregnant or not

@pettybetty im not there mom they have a dad who should be doing more.. We only moved in here to help his dad with the rent not to do half of the things we do.. There dad dont cook or clean or make sure there homework is done so for me to only ask them to keep there stuff off the steps is a small thing compare to the shit there dad ask me to do on a every day base

@mommy2be2018 okay like I said it was just my opinion. My kids are not slow but my 10year old often forgets to put her things away. I don't baby her but I do understand that she is a child.

@pettybetty it would be different if they was younger or didnt know better they know how to clean when they want money or when they wanna go outside.. Nd it would also be different if i wasnt pregnant as well its not just me im worried about i have to think of my child as well.. These keys are not slow nd there is nothing wrong with them.. The fact that their dad baby them is the reason why they get away with so much

That would be like me telling my child, ya know what since you left your scooter in the walkways... I'm not gonna cook supper for you. Since you didn't do something for me, I'm not gonna do for you....

I feel like they are kids. That's pretty normal kid stuff. Kids learn responsibility and accountability at different ages. You however are an adult, so to just stop doing things you normally do would just be spiteful and not teaching the children anything other than how to be spiteful. But that's just my opinion.

@morganmommy79 yea we pay rent.. More then what we should but i feel like they dont appreciate anything i do n this house

I would only do my share for staying there. If you pay rent then just clean up after yourself. Let them be responsible for themselves. That would be annoying to deal with

Advice? I'm not really sure what to say and I'm trying not to be irritated. But I'm not sure how someone doesn't grasp that having a baby changes things and they require a lot of attention. I'm alone with her 95% of the time so when he is here for 2 days, i NEED to clean, do bills, get groceries, try to sleep so I stop hearing voices, etc. But he's a lot more emotional of a person than I am so I also get that he needs the touchiness
