You could encourage him all you like. He still won't do things until he's ready lol. She needs to update her training in child development. And even if he's not crawling at 8months, who cares! Morgan was 6months. Max was 11months. Both healthy happy children. I didn't do anything different. They all go to school walking and talking. So in the great scheme of things what month they do someone now doesn't really matter. That's how I look at it lol.

@sophie_30 i know... babies all grow differently but they make u feel so bad!

She honestly made me feel like i waa doing a bad job and thats why he wasnt crawling... saying show me what he can do now :(

I was like well sit up on his own and pass things from his hands ect ... she just said "oh so hes not crawling.. is he not even pulling himself up on things?"

I felt like a bad mum saying no... like i should be doing more to encourage him but i try everyday im on the floor playing with him or reading to him or letting him hold onto me and bare his own weight its not asif im leaving him doing nothing i play with him 12 hours + a day non stop!

I dont like my health visitor ive complained in the past but they still sent the same one amd said they asked her and she didnt think we had a personality clash... so i just felt awkward!

My little boy didn't crawl until he was 12 months old and up until then was happy to just sit and play with his toys with no interest in moving atall. Our health visitor also made me feel like there was something wrong and he should be doing more things, they drive me mad!

Also this is why I'm glad I missed Max's 9month check. Because he was doing barely anything from the check list which I know would have put him in the grey or black which means they'd refer him for being delayed. Cut to him being 1yr and he was doing all those things & more! No baby is the same. We're told this over and over however when it comes to their checks, health visitors still give bad advice or make the parents feel like their child is behind when their not. Thankfully I didn't use health visitors much with either of mine!

For starters, that health visitor knows shit. Average age is from 8months but even then it varies. Max was 11months. Didn't think he was going to at all. Which some don't they go from pulling to stand to walking.

@laurabump27, also I did an another exercise with my LO which he loves a lot )) I have a gym ball for exercise and I put him on top of it on his tummy of course you suppose to hold him secure , and gently rolled him from one side to other side forward and back letting him touch a floor by his feet ) this helps with a balance and good for his back muscles) hope that will be helpful as well ))

N no he hates fruit pots he loves yogurt tried him with that but he only had two spoons!

Hes eating a wafer now but its not exactly substantial lol xxx

Arlo’s a bit offside this morning I’m full of flu and I think he’s caught it off me poor baby, tried my best to avoid giving it him but it can’t be helped when my fellas a lazy bastard who thinks he’s exempt from seeing to him 🔪🔪😂 xxx

@shannonn95 hes refusing them still!!! The only thing he will eat was porridge but its made with water but the hv said make it with milk even though it specifically says water... its the heinz one too so i listened to her and made it with milk so hes now refused that too! Hows arlo today xxx

@laurabump27 what a joker, I wouldn’t give her a second thought, I don’t even know my HVs name! I think she’s been twice about 6 months ago, I always prefer talking to the nurses at the doctors for advice rather than asking her they’re so much nicer!

you know your own son best Liam was the same never like tummy time because he would panic and cry with colic so they are full of crap hun before you no he will be walking :) ... Liam good thanks beaut xxx

@becky1111 she made me feel like it was my fault. He couldnt have lots of tummy time as a baby because he was so sick any time he was on his tummy.

It’s such a load of balls! Every baby is different, I was a late crawler and I could only crawl with one leg 😂 my partner skipped crawling and went straight to walking, my friends baby is 16 months and has only just learnt, don’t let it get to you, Charlie’s a clever little man he’ll get it soon and when he does you will never get to relax again so treasure this time 😂! Xxx

Health visitor shouldn’t make you feel like that ( sorry to hear about that ( but Nothing to worry about ) he will start to crawl when he is ready ;) your LO knowns better when to start ;) and believe he can surprise you any minute from now ;) you can help him a bit if you want with putting a small pillow under his tummy so he can try to claim it or make a towel roll ;) a good exercise) I did that with my son ) and be aware he will do that very soon)

Ridiculous that a professional should make you feel that way, every single baby develops at a different rate and some miss milestones altogether. As long as you the mum aren't worried and he seems to be progressing at his own rate, I wouldn't pay no mind ♥

@laurabump27, just ignore her their always saying something to upset someone! If you think he's fine then don't worry about it just keep an eye on him and He'll do it in his own time. Every baby is different don't let her make you feel bad 😊 he's happy and healthy so you must be doing something right!!xx

@isabellaboo i wasnt too botherd and she was like "what else can he do!?" She made me feel so bad.

Hes prob not had as much tummy time as other babies because hes always suffered with bad reflux but i dont think hes got developmental issues :( xx

@laurabump27, I wouldn't worry to much hun, I don't think Isabella crawled till about 10 months then she only crawled for a month then was walking 😊 xx
