I Just Got The Nexplanon Arm Implant, Any One Else Have It What Do You Like And Dislike?
@taurus_family2017 yeah, they don't tell you that they just want you to get on birth control so you won't have any more kids. they don't tell you the downside of being on it for a long time.
@taurus_family2017 You're welcome, was on the NuvaRing but now I'm trying to go natural I've been on it for year and a half I have vaginal dryness because of it and I hate it. My doctor told me that almost all birth controls (except for the iuds) do that to you when you stay on them long time. But if I can't stick with going natural I will be back on the NuvaRing because that's the only birth control that I know how my body is going to react.
I had it for 5 years and starting about a year after I got it my periods became super irregular like I'd bleed super heavy for two weeks straight, then not bleed for a week, then spot for a week, then not bleed for 3 months, then bleed for a week. It was all over the place. Made me gain weight that I couldn't get off until I got it taken out and made my hormones crazy as hell. I really hope it goes better for you!
@taurus_family2017 everybody's different just give it a try. if you started running into problems just have them remove it. That's what I did I even had the Mirena IUD I only had that in for a week I bled so much the next week I was in the OB office demanding that they remove it and they did. They can't make you stay on something that's not working for you especially if it's causing you problems.
@taurus_family2017 I was bleeding heavy you know like postpartum bleeding that's what I did for 6 months. I had to get it removed and i ended up get on the NuvaRing that was the only birth control that stopped my period.
Mine went bad lol I hate that people get it they should discontinue the thing 😫😭 everyone i know Gaines tons of weight on it I got mood swings super bad hated life my milk supply dropped ugh the works
@theirmommytiara like straight heavy bleeding or just spotting
I bleed for 6 months on it so I had them remove it, but everybody's different but that was just my experience with it.
Good luck is all I have to say some go well and some go bad
@mommy.of.two omg 😲😲😲😲 see i dont need that. How did it get lost
Mine got lost after a year and I’m pregnant on it
I had it for a total of 9 years. I loved it as far as preventing pregnancy. It did make my periods irregular. Sometimes I would go months without a period but that didn't bother me. It didn't make me gain any weight which is what I enjoyed most! Only thing I didn't like about it, was that it made me very moody. I will be getting it again after this baby though!
