Who's had a cold sore before? Can y'all take a look at these photos in the comments and tell me if this looks like one? It showed up yesterday after having chapped/peeling lips for 2 days. I bought cherry chapstick from Dollar Tree and used it the night before this happened. I don't think it's a reaction because it's only in one spot.

@canaryv i have had them look like that before. They have stuff at the store that tskes it away fast.
Abreva or if I don't have that I'll just try to dry it up with tea tree oil or alcohol. I hate them. I've been getting them since I was a kid. It's a form of the herpes virus & I'll always carry it & they will always pop up randomly but I'm prescribed valtrex to prevent outbreaks. It could be something else but I'd try to put some tea tree oil on it for now & maybe prevent it from forming.

@liz41395, it's not painful yet, just a tight/slightly numb feeling from the swelling 🤦🏻♀️hopefully it goes away soon

I had one under my nose a few weeks ago & it started out just a raised red bump like yours. Could be one in my opinion.
Do u think you may be allergic to something in something that you used on your lips?
