@laurabump27 definitely! I don’t think I’ve ever been so stressed in my life as I have since my maternity pay was stopped, if I didn’t start back work we’d have ended up losing our home come January, I don’t know how people manage it xxx

@shannonn95 no mines just ended!.. luckily i have 23 holiday pay that ive banged on the end but come december thats it!.

Ive worked since i was 16 but i dunno how im gonna leave charlie to go back with his breathing issues and that!

@laurabump27 oh no 😱 I know how you feel it’s depressing me bad especially today I’ve had to borrow off family for Arlo’s food, can’t afford to get him good Christmas presents and I know it’s nothing as he won’t remember but it just makes me feel shit seeing what his grandmas and grandads are getting him! Do you think you’ll go back to work or are you gonna stay off with Charlie? Xxx

@shannonn95 Yeah Im The Same But.. The Way I See It Is.. They don't have a clue whats going on this year plus the more stuff family gets him then great as i dont have to worry as much!

I'm so glad I waited it out until I did was meant to finish at 38+3 but ended up having him the week before meant I got to have nearly a whole year off xx maternity pay is such a joke though ! I'm lucky I work in a school so only had to go back a week in July then they payed me the 6 week holidays xx

Same here, my mat pay stops in February and I can only just afford living with what I get!! I'm going back early I've got an interview tomorrow and my mum's gonna have Samuel and I'll do late shifts xx

Maternity pay is a joke. I am off till June but don't think we will survive with me being out of work that long. I actually was gonna go back sooner but then my mum tried to make out I didn't care that much about my son if I go back to work earlier x

@laurabump27 yeah true! I’m really glad they have I can’t wait to see his little face on Christmas I’m glad they’ll be old enough to play with the toys too and enjoy themselves! But yeah definitely I’ve felt like a terrible parent all day I’ve only just managed to snap out of my depressed mood, i bet it’s awful being in your situation with Charlie’s breathing I hope you manage to sort something out hun, can his Dad not help you out? Or is that the one you threw a plant pot at 😂 xxx

@ells123 yeah it ended a few weeks ago and I didn’t get any notice either! I just received about £60 when it was usually around £280 every fortnight then that was it! when I realised how many weeks old Arlo was I was like shittt, all I’ve had going in my bank was £82 a month for everything for him, benefits all messed up with my oh working and then me waiting for a start date at work it’s been shocking!! Maternity pay needs to be changed massively it’s a joke how in this day and age were expected to run a house, car, bills, feed a family etc off that xxx

@michellewiggins1985 you obviously care a lot more than is being made out if your willing to go back to work early to make sure you’ve got money for your kids hun, it’s a shame everything costs so so much money now! You don’t get enough time to spend with your babies whilst their still tiny anymore I wish I could stay off till he starts school so I didn’t miss anything but unfortunately we wouldn’t have a roof over our head if I didn’t! Xx

@shannonn95 no you defo don't get enough time to spend with them it's so hard now a days. My mum don't see the fact that it is about providing for him she just thinks I'm selfish. I would love to have more time off with him but like you say everything is so expensive it's not possible xx

I even had a look into nannies the other day as a possibility to look after Arlo instead of having to rely on family whilst I work because I’ll only be working 3 days or nights a week which ain’t too bad but the price of them is absolutely shocking you’d end up paying them more than you’d be payed yourself going to work 😱 xxx @laurabump27

Am in the same boat. Just had to add all of my annual leave to the end of maternity leave. Got to go back part time though. Nursery cost is ridiculous
