I have an Alaskan malamute and she is so well tempered and has 2 little dog siblings in our house. She is gental but still a puppy. My mom is lecturing me trying to get me to get rid of my dog. I’m not doing it. Ever!! I just need help preparing her for a baby. Need an air purifier and tips on how to get her ready please help due date is July 29 so we have little time

My mom and FIL were the same way about my dogs. We have 3, a pit, a pit mix, a chiweenie. They love our daughter, the chiweenie usually avoids her though. When we came home with her from the hospital I took all the dogs outside and took a shirt my daughter wore at the hospital and let them sniff it. After they played outside for awhile and burned off some energy I brought them in to meet my daughter. First brought in the males, then brought in my female.

My mom said that she might think she is an animal and hurt her especially when baby cries a lot. I think my mom is stupid my dogs are smarter than people. What are some other things you did.

I have two dogs and two cats. They love the baby. I clean every day to keep the fur at Bay. I also mess with them while they are eating so they are used to being bothered while eating just in case my little man manages to crawl up on them while they are eating so they don't freak out.
