I’m getting soooo impatient waiting on little foots arrival, I have only 14 weeks left. Any tips on making time go by faster? Also, to those who have already had their babes, what was the first day like with them at home? First week?

No tips to make it go faster, but the first day home was the most stressful. I didn't sleep that night because every little sound he made scared me so I had to sit up and check on him every 5 seconds. Cosleeping is supposed to be a big no-no, but it's the only way I've been able to sleep this whole week. We sleep mostly during the day though. It's exhausting and stressful trying to remember when the last time he ate was, I recommend writing it down, especially at night. Some nights are harder than others, like tonight my son won't sleep unless he is on my chest and his daddy works at 5am so I gotta do what I have to to keep him quiet and content, but I just gotta stay strong. Goodluck! I hope your baby is a happy, quiet, content little one!

No way make it faster. And you don't want to. My daughter was a preemie at 34 weeks. After 3 long weeks in the NICU she came home the eve of thanksgiving. One year ago today, was my first day home alone. I remember it was tough. Still recovering and a preemie you have a very strict schedule to follow. My husband calling and checking in on us. Taking her to her first doctors appointment on my own. Driving with a new baby is so stressful! You are paranoid of everything.
It gets easier as they get a little older. I stayed home 3 months. Went back to work when she was just the size of the average new born.

Only way to make it go by faster is to not think about how much longer, ha. So much easier said than done.

First few weeks are rough. There’s no schedule established so everything is unpredictable. And you don’t know their cries at that point so at times it’s hard to tell what they need. But once a schedule is there it gets easier.

I'm not sure how to make it faster, I kept myself busy so it made time fly by but our first night at home was last night and it was great! I've got a good sleeper though the only thing is you wake up to every little noise they make but it's all worth it. I've got a cradle sitting right next to me bed I can literally touch it while laying down and I think it helps ease your nerves a lot to have it like that
