It’s so awkward when people on my Caucasian side of family and friends talk to me and say things as if they’re expecting my daughter to be born with very light skin (lighter than my own) and this unrealistic hair type and texture that I myself don’t even have. 😂 My daughter is 3/4 African American and 1/4 Caucasian. Everyone knows good and goddamn well she’s most likely going to have a caramel/chocolate complexion of some sort and will most likely have pretty little kinks and textured hair. I have my fair share of realistically wondering what Melody will look like, but some people take it other places. Someone has even ignorantly had the nerve to say to me “please tell me if she’s born with short nappy hair, you’ll make her wear weave when she’s old enough” 🤦🏽♀️ First of all, I’m not expecting her to be born with the blessings of Rapunzel and I will NEVAAAA EVAAAA EVAAAAAAAA make her think that the beautiful hair she was born with, that she got from me and her father isn’t good enough. 🙅🏽♀️ I’ve heard nothing, but ignorant shit from people my whole entire pregnancy so far.

lol same... my SO's family and my dad think that our baby boy is gonna come out with pale white skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. 🤦🏻♀️😂😂 My SO and I don't have any of those features. Lmao 😂😂

People are so rude, I swear! How can someone have the nerve to tell you they hope you make your little girl wear a weave?! For me the comments are the complete opposite. I’m as pale white as they come with blue eyes and boring straight hair... My SO on the other hand, is Black/Mexican with the thickest curly hair and the most amazing brown eyes. I get the most ridiculous comments from people asking if I’m sad that my daughter won’t look a thing like me or if I’m okay with the fact that she will be brown... ummmmmm pretty sure I knew we would have a mixed baby when I decided to hook up with my SO 6 years ago, eh?! Like holy hell. Never heard such ignorant and borderline racist shit in my life 🙄

You never know... my husband is Mexican. My daughter is a spitting image of me and my pale skin 😂 the only thing she doesn't have are blue eyes and she's got better eye brows and lashes than me. Thanks to her father!😂
