Any other moms induced with the balloon thing to manually get you to dilate.. what's it like did it work
@familyislife121417, they tug on it every hour to see if it will come out. I think it has to be pulled on, it won't just come out on its own. It wasn't painful to me. After the 3rd hour, it came right out when she tugged on it.
@princessrose you mentioned that some people it hurts when they pull on it... do they slowly pull it out or something or do they wait for it to fall out on its own
@princessrose @missheatherbaby the one that my doctor described to me was the one the put in and fill with water or something and when you dilate to a certain point it falls out
@princessrose, yeah I think it was a different thing than yours
@missheatherbaby, what do you mean manually? They had put mine in and filled it up. Then once it came out she showed me and it was a small little balloon filled with water. It was actually pretty cool. Lol
@princessrose, Idk lol but the nurse did mine manually. I didn’t see any water.
@missheatherbaby, yeah, the Foley bulb? They fill it with water. And when it finally came out it was such a small thing. I was surprised it did so much. Idk the nurse I had did say sometimes people scream when they tug on it. Idk maybe I'm weird. Lol
@princessrose, maybe we are talking about different things lol I just know they use pitocin and it wasn’t making the contractions strong enough so I wasn’t dilating. This lady comes in and puts this balloon inside me and then starts pumping it up or whatever they do with it. IT WAS HELL.
@missheatherbaby, I didn't even feel it at all. I feel like maybe it depends on who does it, because that sounds horrible. 😭
@familyislife121417, the balloon was horrible. Never again do I want that to happen. Just imagine someone taking there hands and stretching your vagina open. That’s what the balloon does.
@familyislife121417, when they did mine it didn't hurt at all. When they pulled on it, just felt slightly uncomfortable. And I did tell at one point and the nurse asked if I was okay and I said yeah.. I just thought it came out and that's what scared me. Lol.
Go in with a positive attitude, that's whst I did, and the only part that hurt was her crowning. Granted I had an epidural after about 5 cm but it started to wear off by that point.
@princessrose Ooo wow see I'm hoping I'm like that that I'll dilate quickly with it once I'm dilated he said to like a 3 he's gana break my water @missheatherbaby with me being vbac my doc doesn't want to use pitosin did it really hurt that bad.. I have a high pain tolerance to and I'm soo curious on what it's gana feel like
Well I was induced with pitocin which wasn’t working so they did the balloon. It hurt terribly. I have a very high pain tolerance and that was no joke.
I did. It was easy. It came out in three hours, which is like the minimum amount and I was at 3 cm. The nurse I had said I had a high pain tolerance because some people find the bulb being pulled on to be painful but it wasn't for me. It just hangs out. And they broke my water on accident when they put it in.
@princessrose awww ok .. awsome I hope I'm like that the balloon is only thing keeping me from having c section if it works and my doc is able to break my water then I'm almost 100% positive ill have a successful vbac
