How do you keep a child calm witthout a carseat my son is over 1 years old i never ride without a carseat but its time…

@t143 yes he was perfect didnt move nothing just sat there n it was like 30 mins

@zealous, no problem! I know how it is. I live in Jersey City. Carrying so many things around with a kid is crazy!

I either take my daughter her favorite book or plush toy. Or if I’m desperate I have over my phone and put Netflix or the baby first app. Cause I know how hard it is, you both got on scarfs, coats, plus bags, and a heavy baby. Sometimes even the stroller. 😞

Does he still fit in the infant bucket seat? I know it'll be heavy but at least secure

Cabs should keep a carseat in the trunk or something... like I understand carrying a carseat around for it isn't really an option so you'd think someone would've thought of something to help that. Anyway have you tried letting him play with your phone? I have a app that's called something like puppy play, it's by Fisher price, it has a bunch of videos for them to watch so maybe that could help? I never had to deal with my kid being out of the carseat in a car but this is how I kept him entertained in the car, or a toy small enough to fit in his lap.

If you're just looking for a solution to keep him calm and in his seat them id probably bring a favorite toy or book and if all else fails let him play on your phone for the car ride lol

Hmmm that's a hard question to answer lol I'm not from a city and honestly my town only has 1 taxi 😂 so I'm not sure. Could you bring him just a booster or something?

All my friends do it expect me for that reason but its getting more health hazard for me

@zealous I understand what you are saying. I just couldn't do it, I don't think. Wouldn't know for sure until in that situation.

@pettybetty if you dont have a car n carrying a 20 pound baby by your self carseat n bags its hard to manage i almost dropped him from being so heavy he about to not fit his infant carseat n its winter so im carrying 30 pounds plus bags n going up flights of stairs which is just as dangerous

@zealous oh ok. That sounds crazy and super risky to me. I don't know that I'd personally ever feel comfortable with that.
