My youngest was like that. What helped me was putting him in his pack n play to sleep & I folded up a towel & put it under one end of the mat so he was elevated whenever he slept. Worked for us! And swaddling!

Swaddle him. Also wear a sweater and then when you lay him down leave it near him so he can smell you
