How would I know if I am having contractions? Im a first time mom and I feel bad cramps, I feel pressure sometimes but I don't know how it would feel to have contractions or what counts as one. Any advice?
Nope! They just put this small pill in your vagina it feels kind of uncomfortable but not painful (at least with pitocin)
@mommyofc that's what happing! to me an for the 6th time had some mucus with pinkish blood at 36 - 37 wks an they been stronger since 36 wks

I told the nurse that I wanted the option for the epidural because I wasn’t sure how I would take the pain so if you tell them your undecided for it then you can decide when you’re actually in labor, just do what’s right for you in the moment! Next pregnancy I hope to do everything naturally and I hope I won’t have to be induced, i had to with my son for medical reasons
@avahcruz ohh I want to get no epidural but then I don't know if I could take the pain. I am actually pretty nervous about giving birth and I just want to know what I am looking at but then I know every labor is different. I just want to be prepared.
I didn’t feel my belly when I was contracting I was in so much pain and that’s all I could focus on 😅 I’m not sure what natural contractions feel like, I was induced into labor and the pain was pretty consistent until I got the epidural
With contractions its like baaaad cramps happening for maybe 40 seconds every few mins.. & its a bit hard to move around..
@avahcruz when you have regular contractions does your belly get hard? and do the regular contractions get worse as you dilate more?
There’s Braxton Hicks contractions and regular ones, Braxton Hicks are normally not very consistent and they are more bearable compared to regular contractions, and regular contractions feel like very intense period cramps. To eliminate the question of wether or not it’s Braxton Hicks; sit down with your feet up and drink a glass of water, if they don’t subside then they’re most likely regular labor contractions
Vaginal labor is so easy I would rather take the contractions any day than to have to have a c section
Took this lastnight...and I'm not sure how I should feel. I've made a terrible mistake by having sex so soon after having a baby but it has made such a precious thing. I really don't want to have an abortion but my Fiancé does. I understand why he wants to go that route but I just would feel absolutely terrible about doing that. TMI every time I have a contraction I feel like I have to poop or pee. Sometimes both 😩 is this Normal ??
