Any little moms out there that had a successful natural vaginal birth with no medicine at all, or intervention in a hospital setting? I’m 5’3 and was 97 pounds when I found out I was pregnant, my morning sickness was so severe that I dropped down to 88 pounds but I’m now coming back up and am 94 pounds. Everyone tells me I’ll have to have a c-section. I’ve asked my doctor and he said if I wanted to try to push out an 8 pound baby he’d let me but I’d probably need a c-section. Just looking for positive birth stories from people around my size. I’ve always struggled with gaining weight, I was 3.5 pounds when I was born and the heaviest I have ever been was 120 despite how much I eat. My goal weight was 145 so I’m hoping to love my after pregnancy body more than I did my body before.
Yes doulas are amazing! As long as your doctor is comfortable with supporting a vaginal birth I think you'll do just fine. Staying active and hip opening exercises/stretches really helped my labor. If you can get a chiropractic adjustment close to birth it could be beneficial as well to get your hips in alignment for pushing that baby out.
I'm the same way to I'm 5'5 when I found out i was pregnant I was 95 pounds now I'm 115 it's still small there concern to, you got this just put god in your hands and he will make sure you and your baby are okay
My water broke at home. And I didn't get any pain meds. I showered at the hospital for pain management. And my baby girl was 7 pounds 13 ounces. By the way I'm 4 foot 8.
@kambam, I have a male doctor but my SIL is a doula, and I’m trying hypnobirthing, having a doula has already made me so much more confident in this!
My boyfriends mom is about your size and had 4 kids all natural each time and they were 8-9 pounds a piece lol you got this girl
I'm the same way! Super small and hips small. 5'2 112 when I got pregnant. I birthed naturally and it was hard. I did start to doubt I'd do it because I pushed for 4 hours. I kept wondering when they were gonna say the dreaded c word but they didn't. I had midwives attending me and they helped SOOO much. They don't bother you or intervene much but more guide you to do it. Luckily I had a great midwife deliver me or I'm not sure what would've happened. But its possible to do it, wouldn't trust a male doctor 😅
I weigh 111 and 5'2" and didn't gain any weight while pregnant. But my baby was almost 6lbs. She was small.
I'm 4ft10in and just had my 3rd naturally(vaginal) I had my first without an epidural she was 5lbs, my 2nd was 7lbs and my 3rd close to 8lbs. I didn't tare. Being "too small" is a myth when delivering. And no doctor can give you an exact weight unless an ultrasound is done and even then they aren't 100% accurate.
