I’ve made a post a few months ago about finding out my son had a stroke in the womb and we received lots of lovely comments and support here, so I thought I’ll do a proper update on His progress 🙂.
Freddie has had 4 physio sessions now that has helped him massively, we do lots of stuff at home for him also. His right arm is still weak but it is getting stronger slowly, he can manage to hold toys with his right hand (something he couldn’t even do before due to his hand always staying stiff & closed), his hand is more relaxed and in fact it says open 90% of the time, he can even support himself with his right arm and his right leg has completely improved. He can roll both ways & learnt to pull himself up from laying down to sitting up again something he couldn’t manage because his weak right side of his body. Today something we didn’t think would ever happen he started crawling 😭, After being told he might not be able to do this and that, we honestly didn’t have much hope on a fast recovery or to see a major improvement like we are seeing now but Me and my partner are extremely overwhelmed with how strong and amazing our son is proving everyone wrong, We are so so proud of him 💖 all this stress & worry has literally just melted away 😭😁💖💖
awwh im so happy he's coming on and proving them doctors wrong! Your a great mum and should be so proud of yourself too and all the time and effort you've put in to help him recover! It's amazing how resilient kids can be, I bet your all so proud of him! ❤
Ah I'm happy he's doing well 💙 I bet your just bursting 💙 xxx
What a little trooper!! Its amazing what little ones can achieve despite what doctors say. You must be bursting with pride! X
I'm so happy he's doing well hun. You've been such a great mum I wish you all the best x
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
So we know he has a stomach bug. If his temp (currently 101.4) gets higher, do we still take him to the er?
So mamas I need advice. We take our son to the gym with us and they watch him in their kid care. Well this will be the third time that we’ve gotten called in there to get him because he’s supposedly doing something we’ve never seen or heard of him doing. When I went in there, the girl was holding him, he was in tears and so happy to see me and wanted me to pick him up. I told her I wanted to see him doing what he was supposedly doing. He went on to play with a toy nicely so I told him to come to...
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
AMAZING!! I work on a stroke ward and it's hard seeing adults like it, so it must be heartbreaking for you. I'm glad he's doing soooo well and is proving the Dr's wrong! Keep going little buddy, you and your partner are doing all you can to help him progress ❤ xx
