Hey ladies! I have really curly hair, and having curly hair also means my hair can be incredibly dry and break pretty easily. Ever since my pregnancy my hair has been in really rough shape. I’ve been putting coconut oil in it, I’ve used a leave in conditioner and literally nothing is helping my curls. Does anybody have any kind of tips for me?? I honestly don’t know how to take care of my hair lol.

@amouryaya09, okay so I’m getting this, the brush and I’m going to look into the devacurl a little more. Yeah, I have an insta! What’s the username? :)

I use this! I understand what you mean about it making your hair crunchy. I mainly use the smoothie one when I’m braiding my hair for the night. I also use devacurl. At certain stores they have samples you can buy but I love their stuff too. Do you have an Instagram? I can give you a page to follow. If you don’t I can give you her YouTube.

@amouryaya09, I actually have a tub of the shea moisture, it’s the orange one, it’s the curl enhancing smoothie one. I’ve used it a few times, but it’s left my hair all crunchy. Is there a certain kind that you favor from them? And I’m going to order one of those brushes tomorrow, I’m so excited because my hair would go into ringlets if I took good care of it.

@kcamps, okay so the coconut oil is good for your hair not really your scalp. You can invest in certain products that last a long time. Tea tree oil is good for your hair and you don’t need to use a lot. I use shea moisture. I’ve had mine for almost a year and it’s not close to being empty. You can also get sample sizes so you try different things! In between washes I use leave in conditioner and just make sure my scalp is moisturized. I use a denman brush to untangle my hair! That’s a great investment also I got it from amazon.

@adams2017, do you use a pick on your hair go help with the untangling? My mom used to use one when I was younger on my hair and I have a hard time using them. My mom is white but my dad is Sicilian so I got his very thick and curly hair, and being that I’m going to be having a little girl soon I have a feeling she may have my hair as well. So trying to figure out my curls would be amazing! Lol

@amouryaya09, ugh thank you!! I literally use the cheapest brands on my hair, because I can’t afford the stuff that’ll actually do good for it. Should I stick with the coconut oil for my scalp?? And what do you do in between washes? Just use conditioner? Sorry, I really don’t know how to take care of it. Haha

@adams2017, I’ve never used tea tree oil but my sister in law has recommended it to me, I’ll have to look into using it. I only wash my hair maybe twice a week, but I also mostly use conditioner. The thing is I use whatever hair products that are cheap (suave, tresseme) because I’ve looked at actual good products that are literally $20 a bottle

A deep condition my help. You can get cheap ones at Walmart or target. Ty to use water based products. If you look in the ingredients and it doesn’t say water don’t put it in your hair. Oil your scalp in between washes. I wash my hair maybe once a week or every two weeks if I’m lazy that helps.

My hair is thin but curly and I end up getting a big fuzz when it dries I use curl free it’s like a conditioner that makes your hair awesome lol no gel and harsh hairsprays I but it at Walgreens Walmart dollar store sells it non expensive and so worth it I also don’t wash my hair to many times a week but I do brush it so the oils spread evenly

I’ve been having these fainting spells.. I’ve been having them for a couple months now, either I completely pass out or I almost do and I get really dizzy and my eyes continuously have black spots... my doctor can’t figure out why it keeps happening but it’s starting to happen more often and it’s getting worrisome, I’ll be making an appointment first thing Monday!!
