Anyone try to use Raspberry leaf tea to try and naturally induce labor at home? If so did it work for you? Pineapple threw me into labor with my son and I'm gonna do that this time around too. But I keep hearing about the tea and picked some up to try and help me out.
***No negative comments on how far along I am, Drs assured me that it's perfectly safe for me and the baby to start trying to induce labor at home starting now.
Raspberry leaf, from what I read during my pregnancy, does not induce labor but strengthens the cervix and helps shorten labor duration.
I tried that with my daughter and I was almost a week late.
@kyntonsmommy, omg I’m gonna have to try that in the next few weeks! And I take my dog for walks so hopefully it helps me lol
@kyntonsmommy, raspberry leaf tea didn't help me. But I was also late 36 weeks to early 37. Only did it for less than a week. The one you posted won't work. It has to be raspberry leaf tea, not just raspberry flavored tea. Hope that helps. 😁👍🏻
@mamamiaof2 yes a fresh pineapple. I cut all the skin off, put it in a large bowl. Literally ate like 2/3 of it and I kid you not I was in labor 3 hours later. But I was also very active my last pregnancy and went on long walks so in between eating the pineapple I'd do my walks like usual. And had my baby boy the next day. Some people swear up and down it doesn't work. But it worked for me.
@kyntonsmommy, wait like fresh pineapple? Or like what type lol
@hannahdesarai sorry your dealing with this as long as you have. Hopefully you get your little baby soon. Good luck!
@kyntonsmommy they didn't keep me cause when I went into labor and deliver I was 36 weeks 5 days so I wasn't considered full term by my hospital standards. I was a 3 when I went in a 5 when I left so there's no telling what I am now ive been hurting real bad for the past few hours so I might make another trip down and I was also having contravtions 2 mins apart ive been like this for 3 days now
@hannahdesarai good luck. I wonder why they don't keep you being 5cm. Maybe difference in Drs. But my Drs made me stay at 4cm with my son. And the Dr I have this time around won't check to see if I'm dilated. So I gotta do this on my own and only go to L&D if my water breaks or contractions are coming on 5 minutes or less apart.
@kyntonsmommy same girl I've been in early labor for 3 days im already dilated to 5 and 80 percent effaced but they probably won't help me along so ive been keeping busy
@hannahdesarai your welcome. I'm so ready to have her and Drs won't induce me or help start things. And they won't even do a membrane sweep. So I'm doing everything I can here to try and jump start something.
@kyntonsmommy thank you ill defiently go tonight and look for it
@kyntonsmommy thank you ill have to look there I've looked every where but there for it
@hannahdesarai got mine at Walmart. I paid $2-$3 for a box of it
RLT doesn’t induce you, it tones your uterus to help with labor. But it’s definitely worth it to try it☺️
Just curious as to were you found the tea I've been looking for it. And I've also heard the only thing it does is prep your uterus for labor
I did third trimester tea which has it in it and it definitely gave me contractions I used it to sped up my induction i was three cm when I went in for it
Please help!
My doctor is trying to induce me before 40 weeks because she's going to be off on my due date and says my placenta is starting to look old. How do I get labor started?? I don't want to be induced for no reason and I'm thinking I won't have a choice. Please help. What do I do to get things going?
Is it wrong of me to start trying to "induce labor" naturally at 36 weeks? Just by walking and bouncing more?
Finally 38 weeks today.
I'm not dilating or effacing at all, and doctor gave me the okay to try to induce labor at home . Any momma's have any tips and home remedies to starting labor ? Also any stories on if it worked or not . Please and thank you (:
Should I let my x know when labor starts
@lovelily I guess I worded my post wrong. I'm just trying to help try and jump start things. But I appreciate the comment. I sometimes tend to post without thinking my wording all the way thru.
