MAJOR TMI picture in the comments. I'm concerned and don't know if I should call my son's dr now or wait to see if it happens again.... freaking out over here. My son is acting perfectly fine.
@dianne1211 I had a feeling that's what it was. New blood is usually okay. It's the old dark blood you really have to worry about.
Ouch. Poor little guy. But it's good that it wasn't something more serious.
@dianne1211 im glad he is okay and its nothing too serious
@princessgemini @stevie.savoie22 @eaj8290 @mommytobeautifulbabies @starwars-mom ok so they think he tore when he pooped from possibly being constipated and that caused all the blood and he has a small tear and they said it should heal on its own hopefully in a few days
@stevie.savoie22 thank you we are at the ER now
@dianne1211, good!! 💖💖 I'll keep you and your baby in my thoughts. Hope everything goes over well and it's nothing
@princessrose I'm going to! Waiting on my husband to get home so we can go
@dianne1211, red is alarming. The nurse, who is a professional, told you to take him. That's what I would do. Don't listen to strangers on the internet. Better safe than sorry. Please take him.
@eaj8290 @starwars-mom @princessgemini @mommytobeautifulbabies I'm going to wait to see what his next dirty diaper looks like before taking him to the ER, don't want to put him through that unless I absolutely have to
Could be the start of a bug or something else made the liquid flow right through him. Green poop is typically iron I believe. My daughter's poop changes daily. Literally. She goes from rabbit poops to dog poops to grown man shits. I really wouldn't be concerned. Another thing you can do, splash some juice on a diaper and compare the colors. Poop juice has some digestion so the liquid has mostly been drawn out, but that's way too "dyed red"
@eaj8290 oh yea haha forgot to type juice, the weird thing is he hasn't had anymore juice in the last 24 hrs than any other time and every other time it turns his poop green. He's been drinking this type of juice for almost 2 months now so that's why I'm freaking out
But I just read, he had red juice? I would let the diaper dry and unless the red turns brown as blood would, it really sounds lime it was the juice.
@eaj8290 only thing he has eaten in the last 24 hrs has been 4 pepperoni's, potatoes and hotdogs, and plain animal crackers.
Before you do, has he eaten anything with red dye? My daughter had what looked like blood clots in her diaper once. Literal panic attack. Then I remembered she ate watermelon.
@mommytobeautifulbabies the nurse said to take him to the ER just to be safe
My son had that happen when he drank red juice but to be safe i would call the doc
Hmmm. I would definitely take him in then. It could be nothing, but it could be something more concerning so it's not something to mess around with. It's always best to play it safe.
@princessgemini he's been drinking red juice but no more juice than normal and he had green poop yesterday like he always gets when he drinks juice but no red food that I can think of. He literally loves hotdogs, potatoes and pepperoni but he only ate potatoes and hotdogs yesterday
Has he eaten anything with red dye lately? If not, I would definitely be concerned. Call his doctor at the very least, but I would honestly go ahead and take him in to be on the safe side.
