I know this has been asked before but when did everyone take the sides down off the cot?

@mum2sky, not till Isabella was 2 I think, I tried before but she wasn't ready, I new the time was right because she physically climbed out of her cot 😂 every child is different tho you could always give it ago and see how she gets on xx

@isabellaboo thanks hun. It's just because she knows how to climb down off my bed and the sofa and she does it fine I was just wondering if I took the sides down maybe it would encourage her to sleep in the cot bed lol wishful thinking I guess x

@mum2sky, Isabellas in a singe bed now but she has a bed guard on as she still moves around a bit. Give it a go hun I would put a little guard up for security then maybe some pillows and blankets on the floor incase she rolled out 😂 if she doesn't like it and is not ready then just put her back in the cot 😊 no harm in trying xx

@isabellaboo yeah that's a good idea. We co sleep at the moment I tried with the cot and it was terrible for a week she wouldn't settle. And because it's just me and her in a king size bed she takes up like 3/4 of the bed lol so I know the cot bed she will definitely fall out 😂 I might leave it till she's a bit older lol x

@mum2sky, really haha 😂 Isabellas never spent a full night in my bed which I guess I'm glad of! It's up to you hun when it feels right and she's wants to give it a go 😊 there's no rush xx

Morgan was about 20months I think. He was starting to climb out of his cot. It probably varies for each child I guess!
