I feel sorry for all the mamas who have issues with their boyfriends families not believing the child is theirs. That sucks and I’m sorry. Boyfriend, however, does not carry the same weight and commitment as husband and that might be where the problem lies. Same with girlfriend and wife, they are not synonymous.

Boyfriend, fiance or husband it doesn't matter. It takes a certain type of scum to try and deny a child being his. A real man steps up no matter what the title. You laid in the bed, there's a chance it's yours. I'm not saying he should get down on one knee and blindly accept that the child is his, but until DNA proves other wise, he should at least be open to the possibility. That is a terrible judgmental blanket statement to make.

@eaj8290, I’m talking about his family not him

Doesn't matter. It's a shitty thing to say when women are dealing with it. You make it seem like it's somehow their fault because they had a baby out of wedlock. I wasn't married to my husband when we had my daughter and he was still a better boyfriend than most husband's will ever be. If a family is shitty, they'll be shitty whether or not they're married.

My mom was married to my father and his family was still completely shitty to her. There are married women who still get accused by their in-laws of committing infidelity. There are men who are married and knock someone else up. Marriage doesn't make a family, a man or a woman less shitty. Marriage does not automatically mean commitment. I was married and my ex husband couldn't even go a month being faithful.

@eaj8290, i don’t need your life story. This is my opinion on things. I’m sorry you don’t agree with me but you really don’t have to.

It's not an opinion it's fact. Marriage won't change a person or a family ✌

@eaj8290, I’m sorry if you took this as a personal insult. It was not directed at you. I’m not blaming anyone other than the crappy extended family. I’m a very blunt person. If i wanted to blame the mothers i would have.

@eaj8290, ok i think you need to learn how to read and move on with your day. I was stating a reason why the families might be acting shitty. That’s what my family would do. I don’t know their story and am not blaming anyone. Move on and stop trying to start an argument.
