Question do u mamas use your wood burning fireplaces with your little one around. We always have nice fires but I'm kinda terrified with Luke now. Hubby don't want too bc he plays right in the same area I know we could teach him but it's just risky flames can pop or logs can shift.

@morgan.k, u don't have a wood burning then. I do we burn real wood which is why it's scary bc pops can happen at anytime. My grandparents had gas logs and it was similar to your setup.
@morgan.k, how do u feel the heat of the doors are closed growing up we had one with doors and u couldn't feel much
@txmomma16, @withlovedkj, thanks ladies yea I have a very large metal screen, we moved the tools along time ago because he could reach them. Our fireplace also has the metal slides of the mesh thicker screen built in that slides kinda like curtains but still just the amount of heat it puts off and he is so close it's almost just to risky. @morgan.k, the glass doors are nice but I hate that u can't actually feel the fire or hear the flames it makes it just more for looks we had considered those along time ago but decided again them for those reasons.
I haven’t used my fireplace since Kingston’s been able to walk. If I decide to use it this fall/ winter I’ll just have to confine myself to that area as well and keep a close eye on him. @txyogagirl,

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
