RANT.... I know the majority of the pains and grossness and uncomfortableness, etc, is a part of being pregnant, especially at certain stages... I also know every pregnancy is different, even for the same woman... I ALSO know there's really no REAL way to tell you're in labor until it happens.. (for ME anyways!) ... But when you have a pain or WHATEVER that is completely different than you have had before (or at least can remember having!) And it just started happening, especially towards the end, does it not get you wondering??? Especially when you're already 3 ina half cm dilated and 90% effaced and don't want to chance dilating more and not knowing it until it's time to push or something!! Especially when your Dr tells you "since your so close and live so far away, if you feel ANY pain, come straight it, and whenever you do come in, bring plenty of towels just in case you have him in the car.) Uhm, what?! ... Okay so I don't want to go in if it's unnecessary because I have two toddlers that have someone to watch them when ITS TIME and only when it's time because this person has to put their life on hold (with their work, etc) to help out! Plus we just don't have the gas to be making unnecessary trips!!! But I also don't want to be in labor at home or have him in the car or chance ANY thing being wrong!!! So here I am freaking out, tripping and shit... So I call my Dr and let them know what all is going on and get told the same thing every time, "it's normal." "Let me know if this or that happens." "Come in if this or that happens. " "Come in when your contractions get closer together. "blah blah. Witch I have a history of my contractions not being too bad until it's time! But like I said, I don't have time to wait until it's time lmao!! It's so hard to explain, I just need to go to the hospital when it's time to have him, and have him, but unfortunately pregnancy is a mystery in any ways, especially the birth part (for me anyways lol.) So before anyone says to go in or call, keep all that in mind.. I most definitely will if it gets worse or doesn't go away.. but for now, I just don't know what to do, I'm completely lost here.. so anyone have any ADVICE?! I'm having lower stomach and back pain and pressure in my vagina area and hips, that come and go.. at times it will be in a pattern, at other times it won't be.. and feeling of needing to poop and sometimes can, sometimes can't.. and when all this is happening, it feels like the baby is ready to come out or something, but then once all this goes away I feel perfectly fine, but then it comes back and so on... Sometimes in patterns, other times not.. also to add to all that, I also get period like cramps and sharp pains in vagina and other pains that feel like diahrrea cramps!! What is all this and why is it happening and should I be concerned or what?!? Lol.. I've read it's normal, I've read it's bc ur dilating but normal, (my q their tho is if it means I'm dilating more should I be worried since I'm already at a 3 ina half or what??) , Does this mean it's time and I should go be seen??? I mean, wth lol. Long post and I probably sound stupid especially for someone who has had two children already.. but I have a memory problem as it is from a brain surgery I had so I can't remember having any of THESE pains, if I even had em at all.. my first kid, my water broke and that was my sign, my second kid, I went in for a Dr visit and was in labor, so I've never had like a "oh this is it, time to go" type of situation!!! Ugh :/ and everyone down to the Dr acts like I'm stupid (or at least I feel that way bc I feel stupid about it already lol) for wondering this and not knowing.. when the pain comes, I think "okay this is it" but when it goes away, I'm like "nah, your just tripping on every little thing bc u don't want to have baby in the car " lol!!

I timed them the best I could. So far each one is less than 10 mins apart and less than a minute long. ?

Yeah that's how I'm feeling lol! I'll definitely go in if they get worse or don't go away, thank you!

@pclevenger22, yes it is real labor! I had it with my first baby and you don’t feel it in your stomach as much, instead you have a lot of pain and cramps in your back and hips... my hips hurt so bad, like they were breaking... and you feel a lot of pressure in your hips and pelvis. It is more painful than normal labor contractions and for me wasn’t in waves but more constant which made it a harder labor as well.

Alright I'll try it out and see where things go from there, thank you!! 😊 Another q tho, I've been getting told that a lot. (About the back labor). What is that? And is it like actual labor labor? Lol

@pclevenger22, if you have to catch your breath and stop what your doing... that a strong contraction and your probably dilating more... if you keep having those consistently then definitely go in.

@pclevenger22, it sounds like you may be having some back labor and that is hard to time anyway... but normal contractions feel like a bad cramp and tightening of your stomach and will come in waves. If I were you and having the pain and pressure like you feel you have to poop, I would drink a big glass of water and lie down and if it didn’t get better in an hour, I would go in. As far as you dilated and effaced you could go in and they could keep you, even help things along with a little pitocin:)

@elenalee I've been feeling some of these for weeks, some for days, that come and go but a few days ago is when they became regular but not in a pattern. But the pain and pressure in my hips and vagina and lower back area (I've had) but just within the last hr or so, they've been in somewhat of a pattern. And it seems within the last 15 mins or so they've gotten worse. Actually happened while I was typing this and it hurt so bad I had to put my phone down until it went away and catch my breath!

It's so confusing for me! My pregnancies have all 3 been so different, (plus with my memory problem) it's like I'm a first time mom with all pregnancies and I feel like everyone including the Dr thinks I'm stupid. I even get the "this is ur 3rd child and u don't know?" Type of shit and it aggravates me bc no I don't lol! I keep getting told to time my contractions but I don't even really know what contractions are. With my first I was perfectly fine until my water broke and with my 2nd I wasn't having any kind of pain that I didn't tell my Dr about and get told it was normal, but was in labor at my Dr visit? So with all these different pains, how am I suppose to know witch ones to track? Lol. It's frustrating. With my 1st kid I went in so many times and got sent home, with my 2nd, I was in labor and didn't even know it so now that round 3 is here I'm clueless !! And the Dr always tells me it sounds like labor is starting but wait until ur contractions are closer but I don't know what contractions are lol! Even when their explained to me, it's like I have a pain tolerance to them and can't feel em or something!? And that's what I can't get anyone to understand lol! Sorry my post and shit are so long I'm just so lost right now lol !!

My dr told me when I was close, to drink water and lay down and if you keep feeling those things and it doesn’t slow down or stop then go in... because those are the signs of labor that your having. How long have you been feeling those things consistently?
