See I'm so outspoken I probably would have said oh no mention of my name in the speech then seeing as I am her Mummy and all 😂 I generally get on with my MIL she's ok. But I know she says a lot to my hubby on the phone etc that the would never say to me. Because she knows I would say something back. Never horribly but still. Unless their sons partner is a complete bitch (which does happen lol). I don't know why they feel so threatened by us lol

@sara-lou86 that's the thing I am too but because it was a kids party I didn't want to make a scene or else I wouldve. And it's just annoying that whenever something happens my oh doesn't say anything or at least have my back he's just silent. I'm not asking him to shout at her but he didn't even ask how I am. I think it's because we are the new main woman in their lives and instead of going to their mum's they go to us for mainly everything and they don't like it. Just a thought lol

@beffgoude I'm just happy it's not me lol I feel like it's been a constant battle since skyla was born. I'm her mum like nan doesn't come above that and I feel like she tries to. Shes now decided to start planning skylas christening when I never said I want one it's just so annoying. And thanks babe I put so much work into the day I was crying a bit but I'm fine now xx

@mum2sky yeh I know how you feel with that, just rise above her. I always say kill em with kindness haha, cause I swear they know to press your buttons to get a rise outta ya. I know it bugs my MIL more the fact I don't argue with her, I just accept what she says and carry on doing stuff my way anyway 😂😂

That’s so mean, my partners family does that all the time they completely ignore me and that fact that I’m their mum and I have a say, don’t let it get to you Hun I’m sure your little bubba appreciates everything you have done for her 😊

@mum2sky, I’m used to it they haven’t ever really liked me they preferred his ex girlfriend but my partner is so sweet and always sticks up for me when they go to far, that’s good don’t let them your little girl loves and appreciates you and that’s all that matters 😊

@mum2sky, it didn’t really bother me at first but one day I just had enough and he could see that it was really bothering me so he had a big moan at them lol they still do it now I guess I’m not as amazing as his ex in their eyes. You should say something to your partner tell him how you feel, it’s not right x

@sarahlucindagiddins they really need to get over it I mean you have 2 kids together and seem very happy they need to let the ex go. And I have babe he said he would have a word but he won't if I don't say anything if that makes sense x

@sarahlucindagiddins that's what I'm thinking. I get it's his mum and she's all he's ever had but I said to him if I ever spoke bad about her you'd say something so do the same for me that's all I ask. I'm not saying scream or be nasty but just let her know when she's wrong because if I do it then we won't talk again 😂 x

@mum2sky, omg I’m exactly the same, my partner has only ever had his mum so I guess he’s quite protective of her so if I say something abit over the line I get pure evils but he doesn’t disagree and knows I’m right, your not asking a lot of him your the mother of his child he should have a word purely because of that x

@sarahlucindagiddins I think we have the answer to why they are like they are now lol and that's good the fact he doesn't argue with you means he knows you're right. Hopefully as time goes on her will defend me more without me having to prompt him x
