I know i sound bad. But, does any moms still smoke while pregnant?

My old coworker did with all 3 of her kids

My husband aunt didn’t smoke her first pregnancy and the child came out disabled then with her second she smoked cigarettes and pot and he was 100 ok. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I smoked pot with both my pregnancies in the beginning but i stopped months ago because I'm in Texas and cps will take your baby if you test positive at birth. They test you and the baby at birth in the hospitals here.

@tealmermaid I'll be honest with this one i stopped at like 16-17 weeks but i didn't smoke constantly. And with my last i stopped when i found out i was preg then started again around 20 weeks then stopped at like 27 but i had horrible anxiety the rest of my pregnancy worried shed test positive.. So i don't recommend stopping that late. That's why i made sure and stopped early this time.

Idr the exact week but i stopped this time around 3-4 months preg. I stopped before that but had to put my dog/bff down in May and it was so hard that i started smoking for a few weeks to deal with it but then i stopped again.

I honestly believe it won't hurt the baby. Just the fact that they do test at birth. I've smoked off and on for years (mainly on before I had kids lol) and I've done research and read about experiments they've done in Jamaica since its legal and most moms smoke there. But its your body and baby💕 do what's best for yall. ☺

I did until 33 wks with #1 and will do the same with this one. I make sure I pee clean by 37/38 wks because I'm terrified of cps becoming involved. it's hard to stop so far in im dreading it but the peace of mind is worth going a couple months without.

There are no studies to prove that weed is harmful to a fetus only thing that is potentially harmful is the smoke. Maybe smoke the thc oil using those pens or eating edibles.

@tealmermaid, my best friend smoked the beginning of her pregnancy it was the only way she was able to eat or function cause of morning sickness. She used the oil pen and loved it. Edibles are a lot stronger so you’d have to eat it on small pieces and t get expensive. Good luck mama

I smoked but my state I had my card and so did my husband. I stopped at 20 weeks so everything was negative with my son.

@lavender13 I think that will be fine girl. Usually only takes like a month to get out.

@lavender13 I stopped at 27 weeks with my first and we didn't test positive. But I don't recommend it because I had horrible anxiety at the end thinking we may test positive..
