This may seem silly as my child is over 1 now. But I've never been good with the right size diaper for my son. He's been in size 5s forever lol he should of been in a 4 at first but I just had him in 5s and he's currently in a 5 and I think I always had him up one size idk why I just thought they were getting small on him but now I don't think so as Ive been learning. Anyway now I think size 5s are getting a little small. I looked on the 5 box and it saids up to 27lbs my son is like 23 I think.. Do you think I should start putting him in 6s? Like I said I've always been a little confused on the matter and had him in wrong sizes up till now. I just don't know how to really tell. It's getting harder to get them on him they still fit just seem a little smaller.. I feel so dumb asking this its just I've never been good with it, is there like a sure way to tell?

I usually move Isabelle up a size once they either start getting really full really quickly or when theyre tight enough that it’s a struggle to fasten them.

My daughter is usually moving up to the next size before she’s maxed out the weight limits... I typically move her up a size when she starts to have blow outs! 😅🤦♀️ my kids are violent poopers! 😂 so if your son is at 23 lbs I think it would be fine to move him up... mothers intuition is usually right! 😉

They should go up to the belly button when on correctly. Also if they pee through a diaper or poop goes everywhere they need a bigger size. Or when the straps are on as loose as they can be and it's still tight

Isabelle has always been weird about diaper sizes, as well. Regardless of the type or size they always look too big, even if they’re small. And they always look saggy even if they’re dry. I just chalk it up to her having a short torso/hip area and very long legs.

@scurlock.mommy, @ilovemykids97, @dreamermom, thanks ladies! I think they still fit ok for now but I think my son has gone through a growth spurt or weight gain recently and that's why they seem a little smaller. I have a box of 6s somewhere I'll have to find them and try one on him and see if he's ready for it.

I just moved my girl to a size 5 and your son's the same age and you're thinking 6s lol. I've got a long skinny baby though. She only weighs 20 pounds and is 30 inches tall

He probably has a big butt lol 😂

My daughter just turned 1. She's skinny and tall. She's been in size 4s for months and seems like we'll be in those a while

@ilovemykids97, my son is 23lbs 33in. I'm sticking with 5s for now. I can't find the box of 6s I had to see how they fit 🤔 so I'll just see for now with the 5s

@gracelynnsmama, yeah my son is the same. I'm just going to stick with 5s for now
